Honestly, I don’t know what we would do without Joe & Paige. They are freaking awesome. They have taken so much time to sit with us. Listen to us, talk with us, plan with us, and work with us to make our puppy dog the best puppy dog ever.

As they say – you get what you pay for. Could we have gone a cheaper route? Sure, but I KNOW we wouldn’t have gotten and continue to get the service, the expertise and the professionalism that we continue to get from them.

We found ourselves with a family members 18 mo old Aussie Doodle who we definitely loved and is loved by the entire family. However, “Hopper” was out of control and we were to leave on vacation and knew it would be miserable for he and us. He would not respond to our calls to come, he blasted out an open door, barked and was aggressive with strangers and terrorized our eight year old dog when they went out to take care of business. To say the least we knew we had to get him under control. I googled and came across OverWatch K9 Academy. I was surprised they could accommodate our urgent need with only a two week notice but we were blessed Jessica was available. Jessica picked Hopper up at our Condo in Atlanta and upon entering was met with our aggressive “Hopper” and tried to bite her (actually he slightly broke the skin). She remained unshaken and upon leaving with “Hopper” in tow we had our doubts. We stayed in contact via text and received videos of his progress and we could not believe he was so behaved. Today Jessica drove to our home in South Carolina to bring him home. She spent over an hour with us going over what words he responds to, the e-collar and answered any questions we had before bringing him in. The homecoming was wonderful and he was so excited to see us. Afterwards we went outside to work with him. He is a totally different boy from the bad boy she left with two weeks ago. He no longer terrorizes “Michael”, our older dog, he sits at the door with escaping, answers our commands and best of all is still the loveable pup we had but now a joy to be around. The expense was not in our budget but we would definitely do it again. We have already recommended Jessica to a couple of people and could not be more pleased with the outcome. Jessica understands dogs, builds a relationship and brings home the dog you hoped he could be. Jessica was a Godsend!

Maegan the trainer was nothing but AMAZING during the whole training process. I got updates everyday and she answered all my questions. She always responded quickly and was so warm and friendly! I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer for my stubborn but loving dog clover. I got her home today and she knows all the basic commands and has a confidence she has never had before! Before she was a timid shy dog and now she is the star of the show! When I was looking up different places and made any request for information they called me right away and answered all questions I had and were super friendly. Wow. GREAT EXPERIENCE! From my very first phone call, at 7 AM Joey spoke to me immediately and was VERY helpful and easy to talk to and also super fun! He knew all the answers to my concerns and paired us with the best trainer for our puppy! Our trainer Maegan is INCREDIBLE & naturally great with dogs & LOVES animals with her entire heart. Jessica is incredible! My Aussie (Charmin) has made tremendous progress and continues to surprise me with her recall and obedience. I was hesitant at first because of the price tag. But I read the reviews and took the chance. Grateful I trusted my gut! The two week training had such strong results. I was super impressed with how much Charmin learned so quickly. A few weeks back from training, I felt like I was getting a little rusty and less intentional about practicing with Charmin. Jessica was our trainer and she was the one with whom we worked after getting clear as to what the training would entail and what might be accomplished. She was cheerful, confident she could train our Norwich and professional throughout. We let her go with Jessica -anxiously ,I admit- trusting the reviews and her careful attention to her safety and well being.

We got pictures and videos of her progress over the 2.5 weeks she was with Jessica. It was clear early on from the videos that she was making astonishing progress. It had to take many hours of consistent reiterations to make our plucky terrier pay attention and work at learning a new command. All our anxiety went away after a few videos revealed how well they were working together.

Jessica brought us back a Norwich who responds very well to the many new commands. Jessica spent 2 -3 hours bringing us up to speed as to how to precisely practice her new skills at home. She took the time to explain everything, practice with us and tell us what to expect these first days.

I can’t recommend Jessica enough. I’m sure we ll be calling on her again to brush up on or to expand her skills. Meanwhile, our terrier is happy,content,much more obedient and needs a day or two of rest. It was hard work learning so much.

Overwatch K9 Academy and star trainer Maegan DeBoard have changed our lives for the better. Our puppies were sweet, but had no training and despite our efforts, had developed multiple bad habits. Maegan did in two weeks what we could not do in 18 months, she took two littermates and helped them develop skills all while doing so lovingly with an gentle touch. Amanda is a wonderful trainer. If I could give her 10 stars I would. I was nervous to send our sweet (yet rambunctious puppy) off for what felt like such a long period of time but Amanda stayed in constant communication with us. It made me feel so much better that we could see her and take part in watching her growth. When Amanda brought our puppy home, she spent several hours training us on her commands and how to continue the work. I am so glad that our sweet goofy puppy did not lose an ounce of personality, but instead came home with an understanding of rules and manners. Seeing our puppy give our older dog space and having Amanda there to reassure us in the moment was so helpful to set us on a path towards happiness and success for both of our pups!

You could see by the way our puppy reacted to and interacted with Amanda that Amanda truly loved her while she was with her. It meant everything to me to see that adoration from our puppy towards Amanda and know that she had been so well taken care of and loved while away at training camp. I can’t say enough great things about Amanda or the Overwatch community. I know we made the right choice by choosing Overwatch and could not be more thankful that Amanda was our trainer.

We are amazed at the results after working with Amanda. I absolutely loved the process of training – while it was hard to be away from our puppy for three weeks, I loved seeing the training videos and hearing about the incredible progress and details of what they were working on and new skills our Bernese Mountain Dog had learned. It was like Christmas each day. Our children loved watching every video over and over. I loved OverWatch’s approach to dog training and how Amanda related so many things to parenting – which helps as we reinforce the training at home. I think everyone with a dog should work with her! We loved it.

OverWatch K9 Academy is a business with INTEGRITY. Yes, they are busy and most of the time with the dogs in the field so expect delay in communication but if you can get pass that they’re truly phenomenal dog trainers and people. I still can’t get over how accommodating they were to us with our constantly changing schedule (please be better to them than we were!) and that they offered to keep Lucy extra days (almost a week) for no charge to perfect her heal. They have high standards and I appreciate that. Lucy is now a perfectly trained dog (what a difference!!) and that makes our life so much easier. It was clear that Lucy loved being with Paige & Joey and we loved the video and text updates. We’re recommending them to all our friends with new dogs/ puppies

We initially were only looking for info, prior to getting a dog,about training. They gave us all the info and then even offered to help us find a dog that might work for us. We are looking for a GSD of which they know a lot about!! Our 1 year old dog, Munson, is very high energy. Before working with Veronika, we had to gate off most of the house from Munson when our two toddlers were playing. It was difficult to allow him around the boys because he’d knock them over or get in their face.

Since his board & train with Veronika, our lives are completely different. Munson is gentle around the boys and obeys commands to “leave it” when he’s getting too hyper. He even listens to the 2 year old when given the “down” command. It’s been such a relief to be able to let everyone interact freely and see the boys bonding with Munson.

At the end of the board and train period, Veronika spent an afternoon with us going through all the commands and working with Munson. We continue to work with Munson as she instructed to ensure he retains the commands and improved behavior.

We’ve had a great experience working with Veronika and the Overwatch team. I highly recommend the service to anyone who needs help laying the foundation for a training routine.

Osya is a wonderful puppy, but we were struggling with number of issues. After Veronika training, I can go outside with him with no worries . He used to get too excited seeing other people or animals. Now he listens and follows my lead. I can enjoy the walk too. He became much more manageable at home as well. Finally, he likes his crate. We struggled with that for months, but Veronika fixed that problem over 2 weeks.
Veronika gave us great foundation that we continue working on every day.
What I also really liked that we had a video and report on the progress every day. We saw the video every day, we saw how much our puppy likes Veronika . He looked well and performed well, so we stopped worrying.

We heard about Overwatchk9 from a friend who had a great experience with them, and, boy, did they live up to the expectation! Josh was friendly and helpful on the phone, giving us plenty of information and getting us all set up for the Advanced Obedience program. Toaster’s trainer, Jessica, really took her time to put us at ease! We spoke on the phone before pickup to set goals and expectations. Jessica did an excellent job on all aspects that mattered to us most and kept us up to date the whole time with cute videos. It’s phenomenal how much Toaster learned in a little over 2 weeks! She went from a puppy who dragged me around the neighborhood to a well behaved dog who can walk neatly beside me and pay attention. Jessica must be a wizard! She taught us so much about our pup, behavior to expect from her breed, and techniques to keep up her training. She was very patient while practicing with us and her love for our dog was clear during every step of the way. We know that Jessica will check in soon and that we can ask questions at any time. Toaster was sad to watch her leave!
